z Sha r e - k e ys: Aut hent ication is a process in which t he AP validat es whether
the wireless client is qualified t o access t he AP’s service. You m ust enable
WEP funct ion and define your WEP keys. The keys are used bot h t o
aut hent icat e wireless client s and encrypt out going data.

aut om atically choose Open- System or Share- Keys m ode t o com m unicat e
wit h client . When use Aut o- Select m ode, you m ust set up WEP keys which
are used by aut hent icat ion system .
z W EP Length : Select s 64- bit or 128- bit WEP encrypt ion. Be sure t hat t he
key lengt h set t ing in t he AP shall be t he sam e as in wireless client s, or the
com m unicat ion w ill not work.
z W EP M ode: You m ay select t o select ASCI I Charact ers or Hexadecim al
Digit s ( in t he "A- F" , "a- f" and "0- 9" range) t o be t he WEP Key.
z Defa u lt Key: The Key select ed here m ust m at ch t he key select ed in t he
client. For exam ple, if you select Key 1 here you have t o select Key 1 for t he
client. The default is 1.
