default in m ixed m ode. From t he drop- down m anual, you can select
802.11G if you have only 11G card. I f you have only 802. 11 B card, t hen
select 802.11B.
z Radio M ode: The Route has 3 m odes: AP, WDS, AP+ WDS
z SSI D: The SSI D is t he network nam e shared am ong all point s in a wireless
net work. The SSI D m ust be ident ical for all devices in t he wireless net w ork.
I t is case-sensit ive and m ust not exceed 32 characters ( use any of t he
charact ers on t he keyboard) . Make sure this set t ing is the sam e for all
points in your wireless network. For added securit y, you should change t he
default SSI D ( default ) t o a unique nam e.
z Channel: Select t he channel used for wireless com m unication. There are
11 overlapping channels. Channels 1, 6 and 11are non-overlapping. The
default is channel 6.
z Click “ Apply” when you have finished t he configurat ion above.
z Please setup authent icat ion and Encryption m ode t o setup Valid and Safe
wireless connect ion aft er set ting Basic Wireless param eters.

This tab is used t o set up t he Rout er’s advanced wir eless funct ions. These
set t ings should only be adj usted by an expert adm inistrat or as incorrect
set t ings can reduce wireless perform ance.

z Be a con I nt e r v a l: This value indicates t he frequency int erval of t he beacon.
A beacon is a packet broadcast by t he wireless router t o keep t he net work
synchronized. A beacon includes t he wireless LAN service area, a t im e
stam p, Delivery Traffic I ndicator Maps, and t he Traffic I ndicator Message
( TI M) . The default value is 100.
z RTS Thre shold: This value should rem ain at it s default sett ing of 2,347.
