connect ion t o. Type in t his MAC address in t his sect ion to replace t he WAN
MAC address with the MAC address of t hat PC ( you have to be using t hat PC
for t he Clone MAC Address but t on t o work).
z MTU: MTU is t he Maxim um Transm ission Unit . I t specifies t he largest
packet size perm it ted for I nt ernet transm ission. Ent er your MTU num ber in
the t ext- box t o set t he lim it at ion. The recom m ended size, entered in t he
Size field, is 1496. You should leave t his value in t he 1200 t o 1500 range.
z DN S: Check " DNS" and ent er t he I P address to specify DNS ser ver for LAN
DHCP server.
z Click “ Apply” t o save t hese sett ings wit h t he Rout er. The Syst em will apply
the new set t ings and start reboot ing right away. Aft er reboot , the Wireless
Rout er will enable t hese set t ings with t he Rout er.

6 .5 .1 LAN Setup
The Wireless Broadband Rout er com m unicates wit h t he wired/ wireless client s
through it s LAN port . The LAN configurat ion page allows you to define t he
privat e I P address and DHCP server set tings over t he LAN int erface.

z I P Addr e ss/ Subne t M ask : Ent er the I P address and subnet m ask for t he
Wireless Broadband Rout er LAN port . All local wired/ wireless devices
com m unicat e wit h t he device t hrough t his port . I t is also t he I P address of
the Web- based Configuration Ut ilit y. By default, t he I P address and subnet
m ask of t he LAN port is 192.168.10.1 and 255.255.255.0 respect ively.
z DHCP Ser ver: The DHCP server can be ON or OFF in t his screen. I f you
choose t o set t his device as a DHCP server, t hen it will assign I P addresses
to it s client s. The DHCP pool range is also changeable.
z Click “ Apply” when you have finished t he configurat ion above. And t he
wireless rout er w ill be aut om at ically rest art ed if you change t he LAN I P
address.
