6 .4 W AN Se tup
Use t he WAN Set up screen if you have already configured t he Quick Set up
Wizard sect ion and you would like to change your I nternet connect ion t ype. The
WAN Set t ings screen allows to specify t he t ype of WAN port connect you want
to establish wit h your I SP. The WAN Set up offer t he following select ions for the
rout er’s WAN port , DHCP, PPPoE, Stat ic I P. Select t he appropriate connect ion
m ode for your I SP (I nternet Service Provider) .
6 .4 .1 Dynam ic I P Addr ess
The default set t ing for t he router, DHCP is m ost com m only used for cable
m odem connect ions. There is no configurat ion necessary for t his set ting
because t he I SP aut om at ically supplies the inform at ion. Choose this t ype while
Cable m ode is used.
