I f you chose t o access the rout er via a wireless client, also verify the following:
St ep 1: Make sure your PC is equipped with 802.11g or 802.11b wireless
adapt er and has appropr iat e WLAN card driver/ ut ilit y and TCP/ I P inst alled.
St ep 2: Set the wireless adapt er to use appropriat e TCP/ I P set t ings as
described in previous sect ion.
St ep 3: Launch t he wireless adapt er’s provided ut ilit y and verify t hat your
wireless client is configured wit h t hese set tings:
z Operation Mode: I nfrast ruct ure
z SSI D: default
z Aut hent icat ion: Disabled
z Encrypt ion: Off
z Radio Band: 802.11B/ G
I f you only finished t he wireless set t ings and didn’t configure t he wireless
adapt er’s TCP/ I P set t ings, even your link stat us indicat es a successful
connection wit h the AP. This connect ion applies to t he “ physical” net work layer
only. Your wireless adapt er cannot com m unicate wit h t he AP. Make sure t o set
the TCP/ I P propert ies as described in t his previous section.
