IP Extended Rules
Use these screens to display the rules for the IP Access Control Lists created using the IP
Access Control List Configuration screen. What is shown on this screen varies depending on
the current step in the rule configuration process.
Note: There is an implicit “deny all” rule at the end of an ACL list. This
means that if an ACL is applied to a packet and if none of the explicit
rules match, then the final implicit “deny all” rule applies and the
packet is dropped.
To display the IP extended Rules page, click Security
ACL> Advanced IP Extended
Rules.
To configure rules for an Extended IP ACL:
1. ACL ID/Name - Use the menu to select the IP
ACL for which to create or update a rule.
2. Configure Rule ID by entering a whole number in the range of 1 to 1023 that will be used to
identify the rule.
An IP ACL may have up to 1023 rules.
