Table 19 lists the TLVs that the switch can receive, but not transmit. To receive any of these
TLVs, the port must be enabled for LLDP. After you enable LLDP receiving on the switch, all
TLVs are received (even if the LLDP MED capabilities TLV is not enabled). To display these
received messages, use the
show lldp neighbor detailed CLI command.
Mandatory TLVs
This section describes the following mandatory TLVs, which are automatically enabled after
you enable LLDP on a port:
• Chassis ID TLV on page 159
• Port ID TLV on page 159
Location ID X MED TLVs transmit only
after detecting a neighbor
transmitting MED TLVs
Extended power via MDI X Can be enabled only on a
PoE-capable port
MED TLVs transmit only
after detecting a neighbor
transmitting MED TLVs
