Manage the Configuration File
This section includes the following subsections:
• Back Up the Configuration File
• Restore the Configuration File

The configuration settings of the wireless controller are stored in a configuration file on the
wireless controller.
This file can be saved (backed up) to a computer, retrieved (restored)
from the computer
, cleared to factory default settings, and replaced by a newer version
(upgraded).
Back Up the Configuration File
Once the wireless controller is installed and works correctly, make a backup of the
configuration file to a computer. If necessary, you can later restore the wireless controller
settings from this file.
 To back up the configuration file and save a copy of the current settings:
1. Select Maintenance > Backup/Restore.
The Backup/Restore screen displays:
2. Click the Backup button.
A dialog box displays, showing the file name of the backup file. The backup file has the
following format: backup.tar.gz.
3. Follow the instructions of your browser to save the configuration file.
