Table 4-4. ISDN Advanced Setup Menu Fields
Field Description
Conference Call
Enter the feature key codes used by your local telephone company to access each
Advanced Calling Feature. Enter only the numbers. The router adds the star (*) prefix
when sending the key code. The default codes follow the specification of the National
ISDN (NI-1) standard and are shown in Table 10-1. If your local telephone company
uses different key settings, change the values to meet your local requirements.
Call Transfer
Call Drop
Call Forwarding
Phone 1 and 2
Call Waiting
Set one or both of these fields to Enable if you have subscribed to call waiting and want
to use it for the specified phone line. This feature lets you place a call on hold while you
answer another incoming call on the same telephone (directory) number. However, call
waiting can interupt data on the phone line if you receive an incoming call while that line
is being used for data.
First Data Call Specifies which directory number and B Channel is used first to initiate a data call when
both channels are idle.
• None: 1st phone number, no B channel preference. (Default).
• 1st: first phone number, B1 channel preference
• 2nd: second phone number, B2 channel preference
Hangup Silence
Time
When the other party disconnects from an analog call, the router’s analog port signal
changes to a busy signal. This field specifies the period of silence, in seconds, before
the busy signal appears. The range is from 0 to 10 seconds, and the default is 5.
Some answering machines only recognize that a calling party has hung up after a
period of silence.
