2. Use Session Timeout to specify how many minutes of inactivity should occur on a telnet
session before the session is logged off. You may enter any number from 1 to 160. The
factory default is 5.
3. Use Maximum Number of Sessions to specify how many simultaneous telnet sessions will
be allowed.
The maximum is 5, which is also the factory default.
4. Current Number of Sessions - Displays the number of current sessions.
Outbound Telnet
This page regulates new outbound telnet connections. If Allow New Telnet Sessions is
enabled, new outbound telnet sessions can be established until there are no more sessions
available. If Allow New Telnet Sessions is disabled, no new outbound telnet sessions are
established. An established session remains active until the session is ended or an abnormal
network error ends the session.
1. Use Allow New T
elnet Sessions to specify whether the new Outbound Telnet Session
is Enabled or Disabled. Default value is Enabled.
2. Use Maximum Number of Sessions to specify the maximum number of Outbound
Telnet
Sessions allowed. Default value is 5. Valid Range is (0 to 5).
3. Use Session T
imeout to specify the Outbound Telnet login inactivity time-out. Default value
is 5. Valid Range is (1 to 160).
4. Current Number of Sessions - Displays the number of current sessions.
Console Port
To display the Console Port page, click Security Access > Console Port.
1. Use Serial Port Login Timeout (minutes) to specify how many minutes of inactivity
should occur on a serial port connection before the switch closes the connection. Enter
a number between 0 and 160: the factory default is 5. Entering 0 disables the time-out.
