Default LUN Settings
The following table explains the default settings of a LUN.You can change these settings when you create
or change the LUN. The defaults depending on whether the LUN is thick provisioned (the default), or you
select thin provisioned.

Manage LUNs
From the local admin page, you can create, modify, or delete a LUN.
Create a LUN
After you create a volume (see Create and Encrypt a Volume on page 31), you can create LUNs on that
volume.
On ReadyNAS 102, 104, 202, 204, 212, 214, and 2120 systems, individual LUNs
cannot exceed 8 TB.
Note
To create a LUN:
1. Log in to your ReadyNAS.
2. Select iSCSI.
A list of shared folders and LUNs on each volume displays.
3. Click the New LUN button.
A window opens, displaying the new LUN options.
4. Configure the settings as explained in the following table:
