NMS300 Network Management System

A screen similar to the following displays:

4. Specify the following information:

• Select Your

File. Click the Select button.

Select the image file from your system that you want to import.

• Enable MD5 Check. T

o enable file validation with the Message Digest 5 algorithm,

select this check box and click the Select button.

Select the image file from your system that you want to import.

• File Name. Enter the name of the image file that you want to use.

• V

endor. Select the vendor of the device.

• Device Type

. Select the device type.

• Device Model. Select the device model.

• V

ersion. Enter the version of the image file.

• Description

. Enter a description of the image file.

5. Click the Submit button.

The firmware file is transferred from your system to the NMS300 system.

Imported image files are saved for the data retention period. For more information, see

Data Retention Period on page 153.

6. (Optional) Edit the information of a firmware file.

You can edit the file name, version, and description of a firmware file. For more

information, see Edit the Information of a Firmware File on page 85.

7. Upgrade the firmware of the device.

You can upgrade the firmware of a device immediately. For more information, see

Execute a Firmware Upgrade on page 86.

You can also schedule the upgrade procedure to execute later. For more information, see

Schedule a Firmware Upgrade on page 90.
