Discovery Profile Editor

This editor lets you create or modify profiles. It has the following sub-sections:

• General

• Network

• Actions

• Inspect

• Results

 Here are the steps it presents:

General

The General Panel collects all required data for a discove

y profile. NMS200 validates each

field, one at a time. Hints and tooltips appear if you hover your cursor near a field or label.

1. General

Param

eters — Set the Name, Description and a checkbox to indicate whether

this profile is the discovery default.

2. Profile Options — Select the Device Naming Format (how the device appears in lists, once

discovered), whether to Manage by IP address or hostname, and check whether to Resolve
