Search and Manage the MAC Address
Table
You can view or configure the MAC Address Table. This table contains information about
unicast entries for which the switch has forwarding or filtering information. This information is
used by the transparent bridging function in determining how to propagate a received frame.
Search the MAC Address Table
To search the MAC address table:
1. Launch a web browser

2. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password,
and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a
local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
4. Select Switching >
Address Table> Basic > Address Table.
5. Use Search By to search for MAC addresses by MAC address, VLAN ID, or port:
Searched by MAC Address. Select MAC Address, enter the 6-byte hexadecimal
MAC address in two-digit groups separated by colons, for example,
01:23:45:67:89:AB.
Then click the Go button. If the address exists, that entry is
displayed as the first entry followed by the remaining (greater) MAC addresses. An
exact match is required.
