The name can contain 1 to 31 alphanumeric characters. Once created, user names
cannot be changed or modified.
10. In the Edit Password list, select Enable only when you are changing the password.
The default value is Disable.
11. In the Password field, enter a password for the user.
The password length can be from 8 to 64 characters.
12. In the Confirm Password field, enter the password for the user again.
13. Use the Group field to assign the user to a least one user rroup.
To assign a user to more than one group, press the Ctrl key and click each group. New
users are assigned to the 1-Default user group by default.
14. In the Session Timeout field, enter the number of seconds a user is permitted to remain
connected to the network.
Once the Session Timeout value is reached, the user is logged out automatically.
15. In the Idle Timeout field, enter the number of seconds to wait before terminating a session.
A user is logged out once the session idle time-out is reached. If the attribute is 0 or not
present, then use the value configured for the captive portal.
16. In the Max Bandwidth Down field, enter the maximum rate, in bits per second, at which a
client can receive data from the network.
A value of 0 indicates use global configuration. The range is 0 to 536870911 bps.
17. In the Max Bandwidth Up field, enter the maximum rate, in bits per second, at which a
client can send data into the network.
A value of 0 indicates use the global limit. The range is 0 to 536870911 bps.
18. In the Max Input field, enter the number of octets the user is allowed to receive.
After this limit is reached, the user is disconnected. 0 means use the global limit. The
range is 0 to 4294967295.
19. In the Max Output field, enter the number of octets the user is allowed to transmit.
After this limit is reached, the user is disconnected. 0 means use the global limit. The
range is 0 to 4294967295.
20. In the Max Total field, enter the number of bytes the user is allowed to transmit and receive.
The maximum number of octets is the sum of octets transmitted and received. After this
limit is reached, the user is disconnected. 0 means use the global limit. The range is 0 to
4294967295.
21. Click the Add button.
The user is added to the Local User database.
22. To delete the selected user from the Local User database, click the Delete button.
23. Click the Apply button.
