Configure a Multicast Router VLAN
You can configure an interface to forward the snooped IGMP packets from a specific VLAN
only to the multicast router that is connected to the interface. The configuration is not needed
most of the time since the switch automatically detects a multicast router and forwards the
IGMP packets accordingly. It is needed only when you want to make sure that the multicast
router always receives IGMP packets from the switch in a complex network.
To configure a multicast router VLAN:
1. Launch a web browser

2. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password,
and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a
local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
4. Select Switching> Multicast > IGMP Snooping > Multicast Router VLAN
Configuration.
5. Use Interface to select the interface.
6. Use VLAN ID to select the VLAN ID.
7. In the Multicast Router field, select Enable or Disable.
8. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
