5. Click the Go button.
The System Information page displays.
6. Select Maintenance > File Management > Dual Image Configuration.
7. From the Image Name menu, select the image that is not the image displayed in the
Current-active field.
The Current-active field displays the name of the active image.
8. To specify a name for the selected image, enter one in the Image Description field.
9. Select the Activate Image check box.
10. Click the Apply
button.
Your settings are saved.
11. After activating the image, reboot the switch (see
Reboot the switch on page 481).
If you do not reboot the switch, it continues running the image shown in the Current-active
field until the next time that the switch reboots.
Delete a software Image
To delete a software image:
1. Connect your computer to the same network as the switch.
You can use a WiFi or wired connection to connect your computer to the network, or
connect directly to a switch that is off-network using an Ethernet cable.
2. Launch a web browser.
3. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.

connected to the Internet on page 21 or Access the switch off-network and not
connected to the Internet on page 29.
The Device UI login page displays.
If you did not yet activate your warranty, the Register to activate your warranty page
displays. For more information, see
