Configure IPv6 routing
Note: IPv6 is supported on VLAN interfaces only, not on physical ports.
Configure the global IPv6 routing settings
You can configure the global IPv6 routing settings for the switch.
To enable IPv6 routing on the switch:
1. Connect your computer to the same network as the switch.
You can use a WiFi or wired connection to connect your computer to the network, or
connect directly to a switch that is of
f-network using an Ethernet cable.
2. Launch a web browser.
3. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
If you do not know the IP address of the switch, see
Access the switch on-network and
connected to the Internet on page 21 or Access the switch off-network and not
connected to the Internet on page 29.
The Device UI login page displays.
If you did not yet activate your warranty, the Register to activate your warranty page
displays. For more information, see
Register the switch on page 32.
4. Enter one of the following passwords:
Enter your device admin password.
IcmpOutParmProbs The number of ICMP parameter problem messages sent.
IcmpOutSrcQuenchs The number of ICMP source quench messages sent.
IcmpOutRedirects The number of ICMP redirect messages sent. For a host, this is always
zero, since hosts do not send redirects.
IcmpOutEchos The number of ICMP echo (request) messages sent.
IcmpOutEchoReps The number of ICMP echo reply messages sent.
IcmpOutTimestamps The number of ICMP timestamp (request) messages.
IcmpOutTimestampReps The number of ICMP timestamp reply messages sent.
IcmpOutAddrMasks The number of ICMP address mask request messages sent.
