4. Enter one of the following passwords:
Enter your device admin password.
If you previously managed the switch through the Insight app or Cloud portal, enter
the Insight network password for the last Insight network location.
For information about the credentials, see
Credentials for the device UI on page 26.
5. Click the Go
button.
The System Information page displays.
6. Select System > Device
View.
The following table describes the system LEDs in the Device View.
System LED Color Description
Power LED Solid green The switch is powered on and operating normally. If you changed the
management mode of
the switch to NETGEAR Insight, the switch is not
yet added to an Insight managed network or not yet connected to the
Insight cloud management server.
Solid blue The management mode of the switch is NETGEAR Insight, the switch
is
added to an Insight managed network, and the switch is connected to
the
Insight cloud management server. You can manage and monitor the
switch using the NETGEAR Insight app or Insight Cloud portal.
Fan LED Off The internal fan is operating normally
Solid yellow The internal fan failed.
PoE Max LED Off Sufficient (more than 7W of) PoE power is available on the switch
Solid yellow Less than 7W of PoE power is available on the switch.
For each Ethernet port and for the two SFP fiber ports in the Device view, colors indicate
the link status of the port. In addition, each Ethernet port also provides two port LEDs,
which are located on the left. For each port, an upper port LED indicates the port speed
status and a lower port LED indicates the port PoE status.
Note: The physical Power LED on the switch can also light solid yellow, but solid yellow
does not apply to the Device View. (If the switch is off or booting, you cannot access the
Device View.)
Note: The physical PoE Max LED on the switch can also blink yellow, indicating that at
least once during the previous two minutes, less than 7W of PoE power was available.
