Appendix B
Cabling Specifications
This appendix provides specications for cables used with the NETGEAR Model EN516 Ethernet
Hub.
Cable Specifications
For 10 Mbps connections, Category 3, 4, or 5 cables can be used. NETGEAR highly recommends
using Category 5 cable to avoid unnecessary expense or confusion if you upgrade to Fast Ethernet.
Table B-1 lists the electrical requirements of Category 3, 4, and 5 cables.
