This command takes effect only when PIM-SM is configured as the PIM mode.
7.4.2.3. ip pim rp-candidate
This command is used to configure the router to advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point (RP) to the
bootstrap router (BSR).
To disable the router to advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point (RP) to the bootstrap router (BSR),
use the no form of this command.
Format ip pim rp-candidate interface {<slot/port> | loopback <loopback-id> | vlan <vlan-id>} <group-address>

Specifies the rp address.
<group-address>
Specifies the group address.
<group-mask>
Specifies the group mask.

Indicates that if there is a conflict, the RP configured with this command prevails
over the RP learned by BSR.

Valid slot and port number separated by forward slashes.
<vlan-id>
VLAN ID. The range of VLAN ID is 1 to 4093.
<loopback-id>
The loopback interface. The range is 0 to 63.
<group-address>
Specifies the group address.
<group-mask>
Specifies the group mask.
[interval]
Indicates the RP candidate advertisement interval. The range is from 1 to 16383.
The default value is 60 seconds.
