Note: This section only applies to AirCard USB modems.
Werecommendthatyoufullychargethebatteryforthree
hoursbeforeusingitforthefirsttime.
UseonlySierraWirelessAirCardUSBmodembatteries
intendedforusewithyourdevice.Usingotherbatteriesand
chargerscouldbedangerous.
Avoiddroppingthemodemorbattery.Ifyoudodropit,
especiallyonahardsurface,andyoususpectdamage,takeit
toaservicecenterforinspection.
Ifthebatteryleaksoremitsanodor,immediately removeit
fromtheproximityofanyexposedflame.Theleaking
electrodecouldigniteandcauseafireorexplosion.
Disposeofusedbatteriesaccordingto
localregulations.
Supervisechildrenwhentheyusebatteries.
Donot:
• letthemetalcontactsonthebatterytouch anothermetal
object.Doingsocouldshortcircuitanddamagethe
battery.
• disassemble,open,crush,bend,deform,puncture,or
shredthebattery.
• modifyorremanufacturethebattery.
• attempttoinsertforeignobjectsinto
thebattery.
• immerseorexposethebatterytowaterorotherliquids.
• exposethebatterytofire,explosions,orotherhazards.
