Set the modem to automatically
connect
YoucansettheUSBConnectLightningtoconnecttothe
networkwheneveryouinsertthemodemintothecomputer.
Withyourmodemdisconnectedfromthenetworkorremoved
fromthecomputer:
1. Clicktheiconinthemenubarandfromthedrop‐down
menu,select
Connection Settings....
2. Inthepop‐upwindow,selectthecheckboxbeside
Automatically Connect.
3. Click
OK.
Check the network type and
signal strength
Thedrop‐downmenushowsyouthetypeofnetworkyouare
connectedto,forexample,3Gor2Gandthesignalstrength
(RSSI—receivedsignalstrengthindication)indBm.
Ifaskedtodosobyyourserviceprovider,youcanselectthe
typeofnetworktoconnectto.
1. Holdthe
Optionkeyandclicktheiconinthemenubar.
2. Selectthenetworktypefromthelist.
Note: This option should only be changed if your service provider or
technical support advises you to change it.
