7. In the Traffic Control section, specify whether the router should issue a warning message
before the monthly limit of Mbytes or hours is reached.
By default, the value is 0 and no warning message is issued. You can select one of the
following to occur when the limit is attained:
• The Internet LED blinks white or amber
.
• The Internet connection is disconnected and disabled.
8. Click the Apply button.
The Internet Traffic Statistics section helps you to monitor the data traffic.
9. T
o update the Traffic Statistics section, click the Refresh button.
To display more information about the data traffic on your router and to change the poll interval, click
the T
raffic Status button.
Diagnostics
Use the Diagnostics screen to perform various diagnostics. For normal operation, these tests
are not required.
¾ To run the diagnostics:
1. Log in to the router
.
2. Select ADV
ANCED > Administration > Diagnostics.
The following options are available:
• Ping an IP address. Use this test to send a ping packet request to the specified IP
address.
This procedure is often used to test a connection. If the request times out
because no reply is received, this result usually means that the destination is
unreachable. However, some network devices can be configured not to respond to a
ping.
