6. Install the two AA batteries into the remote control that shipped with the
product.
7. Turn on the television.
8. Connect the digital entertainer power cord and plug it into an outlet.
The LED on the front of the digital entertainer lights up to show that it is
powered on.
9. The first time that the digital entertainer is powered on you will be asked if
your computer and router or access point use Intel Viiv technology. Select no.
The television displays a message showing the IP address for the router where
the digital entertainer is connected.
Installing Software with a Windows XP Computer
After you connect the digital entertainer, install the software on your computer,
and then set up the digital entertainer to work with your network and media
library.
Follow these steps to install the Media Server software on a Windows XP
computer.
1. Go to a computer that is on the network and log in as needed.
2. Insert the NETGEAR CD into the CD drive on the computer. The main page
loads.
