MAC / IP / Port Filter
The Wireless LAN MAC / IP / Port filter feature ensures the network accessibility for the wireless client devices can be controlled.
When the MAC/IP/Port filter is enabled with a default policy of “Accepted”, the rules that are created indicate which packets to drop
while all packets not listed are accepted. When the MAC/IP/Port filter is enabled with a default policy of “Dropped”, the rules that
are created indicate which packets to accept while all other packets not listed are dropped. You can create up to 20 rules to control
wireless client access.
The HTTP port (80) is enabled by default, allowing access to the web user interface from any wireless client. If you want to restrict
access to the web user interface, set this to “Disable” and create a rule to allow access to port 80 for at least one client so that you
do not become locked out of the web user interface.
