Custom Signal
Adjustments
Allows you to adjust the displayed signal strength for entire bands or
individual channels. The values you set on this screen are used to adjust
all applicable Signal Strength measurements displayed on the unit and
saved to session files. The values you adjust here do NOT affect SNR or
Noise measurements, and are not used in the Locate AP or Locate Client
screens. An asterisk (*) appears next to the Signal Level value if it is
adjusted based on this setting.

AutoTest
Transmit Probes Allows you to enable or disable the Transmit Probes feature. Transmit
Probes is On by default. Toggle the On/Off switch to Off to turn it off.
With the Transmit Probes feature enabled, the AirCheck G2 transmits
generic probe requests for any networks to find hidden networks and
detect APs more quickly than just listening for beacons, under these
conditions:
•
The AirCheck G2 does not transmit when it is on the Locate Access Point
or
Locate Client screens.
• AirCheck G2 only transmits probe requests for the legal channels in the
country for which it is currently configured.
• AirCheck G2 only transmits probe requests on channels on which it has
discovered one or more APs.
• AirCheck G2 transmits probe requests at power levels that are legal for
the country for which it is currently configured.
