3 Launching the program
The Nero Nero StartSmart icon appears on your computer's desktop after installing Nero
Suite. Nero StartSmart, the "command center" of Nero Suite, provides convenient access to
all applications. Double-click the Nero StartSmart icon
to open the Nero StartSmart start
window.

The following control options are available:
Buttons
Displays a menu in which you can specify the settings for the integrated
functions, the options for the news feeds (see
Setting inline feature
options), the desired language (see
Nero Suite language), or check
whether updates are available for your Nero Suite at www.nero.com
(see
Updating Nero Suite).
Displays a selection list of Nero applications, tools and manuals that can
be opened here by clicking them.
Displays online help.
Establishes an Internet connection to
www.nero.com and checks
whether updates are available for your Nero Suite (see
Updating Nero
Suite
).
