9.2.2.1 General settings
Under General settings, you can adjust the Decision quality and the Properties for video
sequences.
The following input options are available:
Decision quality area
Decision quality
slider
Specifies the quality of the output file in relation to the time ex-
pended. High quality offers the best quality with the longest en-
coding period. High speed requires the shortest encoding time but
offers the poorest quality.
It is advisable to choose a middle value in the Best range.
Properties for video sequences area
Maximum reference
frames
input field
Specifies how many frames from which a P-frame or B-frame
may query information.
Maximum keyframe
interval
input field
Defines the range for the size of the GOP.
