It is process-based and explains how to achieve a specific objective on a step-by-step basis. Starting The Program 2 Starting The Program To start Nero BurnRights, proceed as follows: 1. If you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista in Classic start menu mode: 1. Click Start > (All) Programs > Settings > Control Panel > Nero BurnRights. The Nero BurnRights window is opened. 2. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7: 1. Click Start (the start icon) > Control Panel. The ControlPanel window is opened. 2. Double-click the Nero BurnRights 10 entry. The Nero BurnRights window is opened.
Simple Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows XP 3 Simple Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows XP After starting Nero BurnRights under Windows XP, the Nero BurnRights window is opened. Nero BurnRights window The following setting options are available: Option button Assigns burn rights to all users. Everybody Assigns burn rights only to members of the Windows group NeMembers of the group ro. If the group Nero has not been created in Windows, Nero BurnRights automatically creates the group.
Simple Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows XP Option button Administrators Button Reset Burn Rights Check box Automatically apply settings to newly installed drives Button Advanced Assigns burn rights only to administrators. Administrators are users who have administrator rights according to the Windows user profile. Resets the burn rights settings to the default value. By default burn rights are only assigned to Administrators. Applies the settings made to all newly installed drives automatically.
Advanced Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows XP 4 Advanced Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows XP After starting Nero BurnRights under Windows XP and clicking the Advanced button, the extended Nero BurnRights window is opened. Here you can set up and assign the burn rights and other rights individually, according to your wishes. Select an entry in the navigation tree to display the respective screen for editing on the right side.
Advanced Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows XP Nero Applications Offers a list of applications for which you can assign user rights. You can assign different user rights for single formats, applications and compilations. For each entry or sub entry the Everybody and Nobody option buttons are available. In the default settings everybody has full rights of use. Nero Toolkit Offers a list of tools for which you can assign user rights. You can assign different user rights for every single tool.

Button Applies all changes made and closes the Nero BurnRights window. OK Cancel Discards the settings made and closes the Nero BurnRights window. Apply Applies all changes made without closing the Nero BurnRights window.

Advanced Nero BurnRights Window Under Windows Vista And Windows 7 Groups to which users can be assigned are only available or can only be created if the computer is assigned to a domain. If users are refused burn rights, they cannot burn any discs using the installed recorder. Such users only have access to the Image Recorder with the option of burning disk images. In a network with user administration via Active Directory, burn rights must be assigned to all users.
