Appendix B: Using the
MiniBrowser
Overview
The MiniBrowser allows the user to use a variety of Internet services. Using
the MiniBrowser on the NeoPoint phone allows you to:
Send and receive Internet e-mail
Browse and search the World Wide Web via web pages specially
designed for cellular customers
Set bookmarks to directly access your favorite sites
Retrieve information such as stock quotes and flight schedules from the
Internet
How the MiniBrowser System Works
When you connect to the MiniBrowser from your NeoPoint, a signal (request
for information) is sent to your provider’s cellular network. From the cellular
network, your request is sent to the UP.Link gateway (portal to the Internet).
The UP.Link gateway accesses the Internet and retrieves your requested
information.
