Manage input methods
• Virtual keyboard: Tap Virtual keyboard > Manage keyboards and select the keyboards you need.
•
Spell checker: Tap Advanced > Spell checker and turn on the switch.
•
Personal dictionary: Tap Advanced > Personal dictionary. Tap
to add a word into your personal
dictionary.
•
Pointer speed: Tap Advanced > Pointer speed. Slide the slider and tap OK to adjust the pointer speed.
•
Text-to-speech output: Tap Advanced > Text-to-speed output and set the preferred engine, language,
speech rate and pitch for text-to-speech output.
15. 16 Use gestures to open Camera
1. On the Home screen, tap > Settings > System > Gestures > Jump to camera.
2. Switch on Jump to camera to quickly open Camera by pressing the Power button twice from any screen.
15. 17 Date and time
On the Home screen, tap > Settings > System > Date & time to configure the following settings:
•
Automatic date & time: Choose to use automatic network-provided time or GPS-provided time. You can
also choose to turn it off and manually adjust date and time by tapping Set date and Set time.
•
Automatic time zone: Turn on the switch to use the network-provided time zone. You can also turn off the
switch to manually adjust the time zone by tapping Select time zone.
•
Use 24-hour format: Turn on the switch to enable 24-hour format.
15. 18 Reset options
Restore your phone to its factory settings if it crashes or is slow to respond.
On the Home screen, tap
> Settings > System > Reset options to configure the following settings:
Restore DRM settings
Tap DRM reset > DRM reset > OK to delete all DRM licenses on your device.
Reset network settings
1. Tap Reset WLAN, mobile & Bluetooth.
2. Tap
to select a SIM card.
3. Tap RESET SETTINGS to reset all network settings including WLAN, mobile data and Bluetooth settings. If
you have set a screen lock, you will need to confirm your pattern, PIN, or password first so as to continue.
Reset app preferences
Tap Reset app preferences > RESET APPS.
Reset factory settings
Restore your phone to its factory settings if it crashes or is slow to respond.
Back up important data on your phone before restoring factory settings. Restoring factory settings will erase
all personal data from your phone’s internal storage, including your Google account, system and app data and
settings, downloaded apps, music, photos and other user data.
