18.7 Electrical connection
In order to safely connect the appliance to the elec-
trical system, follow these instructions.
¡ The appliance corresponds to protection class I and
must only be operated with a protective earth con-
nection.
¡ The fuse protection must correspond to the power
rating specified on the appliance's rating plate and
to local regulations.
¡ The appliance must be disconnected from the
power supply whenever installation work is being
carried out.
¡ Contact protection must be ensured during the in-
stallation.
Electrically connecting an appliance without a
protective contact plug
Note:Only a licensed professional may connect the ap-
pliance. Damage caused by incorrect connection is not
covered under the warranty.
An all-pole isolating switch must be integrated into the
permanent electrical installation according to the install-
ation regulations.
1.
Identify the phase and neutral conductors in the
socket.
The appliance may be damaged if it is not connec-
ted correctly.
2.
Connect the hob in accordance with the connection
diagram.
The yellow/green wire for the safety earth terminal
must be 10mm longer on the appliance side than
the other wires.
See the rating plate for the voltage.
Connection 3N~ / 2N~ / 1N~: Use a H05VV-F
mains power cable or one with a higher rating.
18.8 Installing the appliance in a tall unit
1.
Remove the mounting brackets.
The mounting brackets are not required for installing
in a tall unit.
2.
Tighten the screws for the mounting brackets on the
appliance.
3.
Remove the transport locks on the right and left and
then dispose of them.
4.
The appliance must be transported by two people
using the carry handles on the right and left, while
securing the front of the appliance with one hand.
5.
Place the appliance in the unit and, before pushing
it in, fold the carry handles down.
6.
Push the appliance in fully.
Do not kink or trap the connecting cable, or route it
over sharp edges.
7.
Centre the appliance.
