6.12 Switching on automatic mode
The optimum fan setting is set automatically using a
sensor.

sensor detects no further change in the room air
quality.
a Automatic mode runs for a maximum of four hours.
6.14 Sensor control
In automatic mode, a sensor in the appliance detects
the intensity of the cooking and roasting fumes. De-
pending on the setting of the sensor sensitivity, the op-
timum fan setting is automatically switched on. If the
sensor control system reacts too weakly or too
strongly, the setting for the sensor sensitivity may
change.

6.21 Setting the intermediate position for
the filter cover
On some appliances, the filter cover can be adjusted to
an intermediate position. The intermediate position can
be used to eliminate particularly strong cooking smells
and large amounts of steam.
Take hold of the filter cover in the centre and open it
carefully.
6.22 Resetting the saturation indicator
After cleaning the grease filter or after changing the
odour filter, the saturation indicator can be reset.
Requirements
¡ After the appliance has been switched off, ⁠ ⁠ ap-
pears on the display for the grease filter.
¡ After the appliance has been switched off, ⁠ ⁠ ap-
pears on the display for the odour filter.

6.23 Setting the saturation indicator
The saturation indicator must be adjusted depending
on the filter used.
Requirement:The appliance is switched off.

To set circulating-air mode (non-regenerable fil-
ter), press ⁠ or ⁠ until ⁠ ⁠ appears on the dis-
play.
To set circulating-air mode (regenerable filter),
press ⁠ or ⁠ until ⁠ ⁠ and ⁠ ⁠ appears on the dis-
play.
To set the air extraction mode, press ⁠ or ⁠ until
⁠ ⁠ appears on the display.

6.24 Switching on the signal tone
Requirement:The appliance is switched on.
Press and hold ⁠ and ⁠ at the same time for ap-
prox. threeseconds until a signal sounds.
