Computer
. The “Computer Properties” dialog box appears and
displays the “View Resources” folder.
The “View Resources” folder shows the system resources used by your
computer. For example, it shows a list of interrupts and how they are allocated.
If an interrupt is not in the list, it’s available.

The following table summarizes the system board jumper settings.

Function Jumper J8A1 Configuration
Normal Mode 1-2 Factory setting. Sets the system for
normal operation. The BIOS uses
current configuration information and
passwords for booting.
Configure Mode 2-3 Allows system configuration. After
POST, Setup runs automatically. The
Maintenance Menu appears for setting
configuration parameters (including
speed and password settings).
Recovery Mode None Enables BIOS recovery procedures.
BIOS attempts to recover the BIOS
configuration. A recovery diskette is
required (downloadable from the
NEC CSD website).
