ERROR MESSAGES
If an error occurs in the CPU blade, an error message appears on the display unit connected to the
CPU blade.
POST Error Messages
Powering on the CPU blade automatically starts the self-diagnostic program, POST (Power On Self-
Test). When the POST detects any error, it displays an error message and its measure on the display
unit.
Follow the table below to troubleshoot such errors.
IMPORTANT: Take a note on the messages displayed before
consulting with your service representative. Alarm messages are useful
information for maintenance.

0200 Failure Fixed Disk Contact your service representative.
0230 System RAM Failed at offset
0231 Shadow RAM Failed at offset
0232 Extend RAM Failed at address line
0234 Single-bit ECC error
0235 Multiple-bit ECC error
0250 System battery is dead
Replace and run SETUP
Contact your service representative to
replace the battery. (Restart the system,
and then run the BIOS SETUP utility to
correct the setting.)
0251 System CMOS checksum bad
Default configuration used
Default configuration is used. Restart the
system, and then run the BIOS SETUP
utility to correct the setting.
0260 System timer error Contact your service representative.
0270 Real timer error
0271 Check date and time setting
Run the BIOS SETUP utility to set the
date and time. If the error persists,
contact your service representative.
02D0 System cache error Cache disabled Contact your service representative.
