Print Quality Problems

Blurred back-
ground
The toner car-
tridge may be
defective.
Remove the toner cartridge
and check it for damage.
Replace the toner cartridge if
necessary. See “To Replace
the Toner Cartridge” on page
6-1 for details.
Uneven print
density
The toner may
be unevenly dis-
tributed inside
the toner car-
tridge.
Remove the toner cartridge
and rock it left and right a few
times to distribute remaining
toner.
If the problem persists,
replace the toner cartridge.
See “To Replace the Toner
Cartridge” on page 6-1 for
details.
The drum car-
tridge may be
defective.
Remove the drum cartridge
and check it for damage.
Replace the drum cartridge if
necessary. See “To Replace
the Drum Cartridge” on page
6-7 for details.
