6. Calibration
In calibration, differences in brightness on the screen are identied and calculations are performed.
Also,
for the purpose of the calculations, the contour of the projection image, and the position and shape of the test
image are
photographed with a web camera.
Du
ring calibration, calculations are carried out on the overlapping region between the projected images and the 4
corn
er points of the projected image serving as the correction result that are set up in the screen operations.

If an error message is displayed during the calibration, rst check the items listed below.
Item to Check Cause and Action to Take
Has the resolution of each of the
pro
jectors been adjusted?
It is not possible to use projectors with different resolutions
simu
ltaneously. Use projectors with the same resolution.
Has the brightness of each of the
pro
jectors been adjusted?
Whenever possible, use the same models of projectors for stacking/tiling
corre
ction. If there are differences in brightness between the projectors,
it m
ay not be possible to identify the contours, position or shape of the
te
st image with certain projected images.
In addition, differences in brightness can also be due to differences in
the p
rojectors' [ECO MODE] settings, so set [ECO MODE] to the same
setting on all of the projectors. For the [ECO MODE] setting, see the
pro
jectors' operating instructions.
Is t
he web camera compatible with the
Multi Screen Tool
?
Please u
se a model that is supported by the Multi Screen Tool as listed
on Pa
ge 6.
Is t
he entire screen gathered within the
photographic range of the web camera?
Make adjustments so that the overall projection image can be
photographed as large as possible; for example, move the setup
position of the we
b camera.
Are the brightness and contrast of the
images photographed with the web
camera
suitable values?
If c
alibration is not possible with the [Auto Adjust] command at [Setup]
→
[Camera Settings] on the calibration screen, use the utility software
included with the web camera to adjust the brightness and contrast,
then try
calibrating again.
