Open a port
Open a port to use HTTPS connection.
1. Double click [Administrative Tools]-[Windows Firewall with Advanced Security] in
[Control Panel].
2. Right-click [Inbound Rules] and click [New Rule].
3. Select [Port] and click [Next].
4. Select [TCP] and [Specific local ports], input 5986 in port number and click [Next].
Tips
When the server OS is Windows Server 2008, the port of HTTPS is 443. When
from Windows Server 2008 R2 onward, it is 5986.
5. Select [Allow the connection] and click [Next].
6. Select a profile that is used for a connection with NEC ESMPRO Manager from
[Domain], [Private] or [Public].
7. Input [Name] and [Description] and click [Finish].
Eample:
Name: NEC ESMPRO ServerAgentService (HTTPS)
Description: Inbound rule for NEC ESMPRO ServerAgentService to allow data transfer
using HTTPS [TCP 5986]
NEC ESMPRO Manager Setting
If using Self-Signed certificate, change a setting of NEC ESMPRO Manager to allow Self-Signed
certificate by WS-Man communication.
If using a CA-Signed certificate, the following procedure is unnecessary.
1. Login NEC ESMPRO Manager.
2. Select [Environment].
3. Select [Network] tab and click [Edit].
4. Select [WS-Man Communication]-[Self Signed Certificate]-[Allow] and click [Apply].
