NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.5 Setup Guide

(1)-(d) Click "Add".

(1)-(e) Click "Connection Setting" from "Setting" tab of the managed component. And Click “Check

Connection”.

NEC ESMPRO Manager will execute "Check Connection" and collect the information for the

management.

When the "Check Connection" is completed, the NEC ESMPRO Manager starts to control the

NEC Storage.

(2) Auto Registration

(2)-(a) Click the group name for the NEC Storage on the "Component Link" view or "Group" tree.

(2)-(b) Click the "Auto Registration" from "Add Component" of "Group Information" tab.

(2)-(c) Select "Search Mode" on the "Auto Registration" view.

With "Network Address Search", enter the network address and network mask of "

Floating IP

Address" of the

NEC Storage.

With "IP Address Range Search", enter the "start address" and "end address" of the IP address

range.

Please include the "Floating IP Address"

of the NEC Storage within IP Address range.

In both search mode case, "SNMP Community Name" must be specified. "SNMP Community

Name" is the "SNMP Community Name" specified on iSMClient.

After that, click "Search".

Select the "Disable" about "RAID system management", "NEC ExpressUpdate" and

"Management controller management (Common)".

(2)-(d) The search for the managed components will start.

(2)-(e) The IP addresses of the found managed component and NEC Storages will be listed.

When the "Auto Registration" is completed, the NEC ESMPRO Manager starts to control the

NEC Storage.
