4.3 About managed component

4.3.1 About Windows Firewall

If Windows firewall is enabled on the managed component, DianaScope Agent or NEC ESMPRO Agent

Extension may not work correctly.

Please perform following settings:

(1) Open "Windows firewall" from "control panel" of Windows.

(2) Select "Add Port" on "Exceptions" tab page.

(3) Enter following setting:

Name: arbitrary name

Port number: Port number that you need to add.

If DianaScope Manager cannot communicate with DianaScope Agent or NEC

ESMPRO Agent Extension:

47120 – 47129

TCP/UDP: TCP

4.3.2 About Shutdown OS

When the following operation is performed on the managed server running Windows Server 2008 or later, the

cancellation dialog box may not be displayed.

-- OS Shutdown by NEC ESMPRO Manager

-- OS Shutdown by scheduled running function

4.3.3 About Shutdown OS during DC-OFF state by scheduled running

When [Agent Setting] - [Shut down OS after DC-ON during Scheduled Running Halt] on NEC ESMPRO

Manager is enabled, the DianaScope Agent or NEC ESMPRO Agent Extension shutdowns OS if the

managed server is powered up during the down period (DC OFF state time by scheduled running).

Only if the managed server is powered up from NEC ESMPRO Manager, NEC ESMPRO Agent Extension or

DianaScope Agent does not shutdown OS. However, in case that any error is occurred during booting, NEC

ESMPRO Agent Extension or DianaScope Agent may shutdown OS even though power up by NEC

ESMPRO Manager.
