Display of the network status on the DataViewer
When you monitor a server with Windows Vista installed, the message "Dormant" appears for Status on the Network
General window of the DataViewer even if the network properly works. In such a case, check the network status on the
monitored server.
Display of the teamed network interfaces on the DataViewer
If network interfaces are teamed on a server with Windows Vista / Windows 7 /Windows Server 2008 / Windows Server
2008 R2 installed, the network information may not be properly displayed on the DataViewer. Check it on the monitored
server.
Display of the Memory Information on the DataViewer
When you monitor a virtual machine running on Hyper-V with dynamic memory enabled, the following memory
information may be displayed incorrectly.
In such a case, collapse the DataViewer tree, then display the memory information again.
- Physical Memory Capacity
- Physical Memory Available
- Physical Memory Currently Used
- Physical Memory Percent Used
Display of the Information of EnclosureViewer
To update the monitoring display in case of EM Card configuration such as removing/mounting CPU blade, switching
power redundancy mode, reselect EnclosureViewer - [Configure]Menu - [Reconstruct Tree].
Coexistence of NEC ESMPRO Manager with HP OpenView Network Node Manager
(NNM)
To install NNM on the environment where the NEC ESMPRO Manager has been installed, take the following steps
before installing NNM:
1. Select [Options] - [Customize] - [My Manager] on the Operation Window and set the Method of receiving
SNMP Trap to "Use SNMP Trap Service" on the My Manager dialog box.
2. After the above, the dialog box stating that [Changes will take effect after the computer has been restarted]
appears. Exit the Operation Window and then take the following steps without shutting down and restarting
the system
3. Exit all applications related to NEC ESMPRO, such as AlertViewer, DataViewer, and GraphViewer.
4. Exit "ESM Base Service" (and other dependent services) by selecting [Administrative Tools] - [Services].
After the above, install NNM and restart the computer.
To install NEC ESMPRO Manager on the environment where NNM has been installed, restart the computer and
take the following steps after the installation of NEC ESMPRO Manager completes:
Select [Options] - [Customize] - [My Manager] on the Operation Window and set the Method of receiving SNMP
Trap to "Use SNMP Trap Service" on the [My Manager] dialog box.
After the above, restart the computer.
