Notes
Check the following points after installing the NEC ESMPRO Manager:
8.1 NEC ESMPRO Manager
♦Installation
If you install the NEC ESMPRO Manager on Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008 and later, do not
delete user account "Administrator" from "Impersonate a client after authentication" of "Local Security Policy".
NEC ESMPRO Manager cannot be downgraded to the older version. If you want to use the older version, uninstall
the current version and then install new version.
Note: All the registered information will be deleted as the result of the uninstalling.
You should logout from the web browser that is login to the NEC ESMPRO Manager before the NEC ESMPRO
Manager is upgraded. After the NEC ESMPRO is upgraded during login, some error may be displayed on any web
browser. When the error is displayed, you should close web browser that is login to the NEC ESMPRO Manager
and restart the following services.
- ESMPRO/SM Web Container
- ESMPRO/SM Common Component
If installer displays either of the following message, execute the installation again.
"It failed in the writing in a necessary file of the Common Component."
"Close of the necessary file for Common Component failed."
After NEC ESMPRO Manager is upgraded, NEC ESMPRO Manager on the web browser may display incorrectly.
Take the following steps to avoid it.

1. Click the [Safety] menu.
2. Select [Delete Browsing History].
3. Select the checkbox for [Temporary Internet Files].
4. Click the [Delete] button.
[Internet Explorer 7]
1. Click the [Tools] menu.
2. Select [Delete Browsing History].
3. Click the [Delete] files button.
4. Click the [Yes] button in the confirmation window.
5. Click the [Close] button.
[Firefox 3.5 / 3.6]
1. Click the [Tools] menu.
2. Select [Clear Recent History].
3. Select the [Details] button.
4. Select the [Cache] checkbox.
5. Click the [Clear Now] button.
