Chapter 2 Preparations
Important
BRACKET KEY: This equipment is intended for installation in a location with
restricted access.
Access can only be gained by service persons or by users who have
been instructed about the reasons for the restrictions applied to the
location and about any precautions to be taken.
Access can be obtained through the use of a special tool or lock and
key, or other means of security. This tool is controlled by the authority
responsible for the location.
6. Remove the top cover.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.6. Removing the Top Cover).
7. Depending on the components to be installed or removed, follow the procedure in order.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.7 Internal Flash Memory (N8115-05)) to (1.12 Optical Disk Drive (Option of
R110d-1E)).
8. Connect cables
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.9.1 Connecting cables).
9. Attach the top cover.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.15 Attaching the Top Cover).
10. Mount the server onto the rack.
Refer to Chapter 2 (2.1.2 (1) Installation).
11. Install Hard Disk Drives
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.13 3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive) or (1.14 2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive).
12. Attach the front bezel.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.16 Attaching the Front Bezel (Option of R110d-1E)).
This is the end of the installation or removal procedures for internal optional devices.
Continue the setup with reference to Chapter 2 (2.2 Connection).
