Installation

Take the following steps to install a PCI card on the riser card:

IMPORTANT:

 Each riser card supports low-profile or full-height PCI cards. Before

installing a PCI card, confirm that the type of the PCI card.

 When installing a PCI card, confirm that the card connector matches

the connector of the riser card.

1. See page 9-4 to prepare.

2. Pull out the server from the rack (as described on page 9-4).

3. Remove the logic cover (as described on page 9-25).

4. Hold the riser card handle and bracket as shown in the figure below, and remove the riser

card.

If the card is hard to remove, hold down the server while lifting the card.

NOTE: Be very careful not to contact the other component.

5. Check the insertion positions in the table on the previous page.

6. Remove the screw from the PCI slot cover at the insertion position.
