IMPORTANT:
To avoid damage to the socket, do not apply excessive force while pressing the
DIMM.
Make sure the clips are firmly in place.
11. Install the components you removed in steps 1 to 3.
12. Power on the server and verify that POST displays no error messages.
If POST displays an error message, take a note on the message and see the POST error
messages listed on page 8-10.
13. Run the BIOS SETUP utility and select [Advanced] → [Memory Configuration] →
[Memory Information] to verify that the installed DIMM shows a number. (See page 4-13
for details.)
14. Select [Memory Configuration] → [Memory Retest] on the [Advanced] menu and specify
"Yes".
This setting is required to update the hardware configuration information. See page 4-8 for
details.
15. If the Windows operating system is in use, set the paging file size to the recommended
value (total memory size × 1.5) or a greater value. See page 5-95 for details.
