PCI Card
The server provides a riser card where you can install a PCI card on the motherboard. The riser card can have
two low-profile PCI cards installed.
Connect PCI cards for network expansion or file device function into PCI card slots provided on the riser card.
Important
Avoid static electricity to work with the procedure below. For details, see
Chapter 2 (1.2 Anti-static Measures).
Note
Only Low-profile type of PCI cards can be installed in the riser card of the server.
Check the card spec before installation.
Tips
If SAS controllers, RAID controllers, LAN adapter (network boot), or Fibre Channel
controllers are used without connecting to hard disk drives with OS installed, set
the Option ROM for the card to Disabled. For the setting, see Chapter 2 (1.
System BIOS) in "Maintenance Guide".
