Chapter 2 Preparations
Installing flash backup unit that comes with N8103-161/-168

This section describes the procedure of installing a flash backup unit that comes with N8103-161/-168 RAID
controller.
See Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal) for preparations.

Remove one screw securing the riser

lift it straight off the server.
Remove one screw from the riser card 5.

Attach the RAID controller to the riser 6.

Insert the riser card into the slot of the

motherboard and fix the riser card with
the screw which you removed in step 4.
Position the terminal part of the riser card
in the slot of the motherboard and then
securely insert it.
