Chapter 2 Preparations
Using optional RAID controller for a 2.5-inch drive model with eight hard disk drives installed (1 to 8
drives)
 Prepare the optional SAS/SATA cables K410-240(00) and K410-204(00).
 Connect the P0 to P3 connectors of the K410-240(00) to the SATA0 to SATA3 connectors on the
backplane, respectively.
 Connect the P4 to P7 connectors of the K410-204(00) to the SATA4 to SATA7 connectors on the
backplane, respectively.
 While matching the pin 1 (indicated by the triangle) of the S1 and the pin 1 (indicated by the bold line) of
the SGPIO1, connect the S1 connector of the K410-240(00) to the SGPIO1 connector on the backplane.
 While matching the pin 1 (indicated by the triangle) of the S2 and the pin 1 (indicated by the bold line) of
the SGPIO2, connect the S2 connector of the K410-204(00) to the SGPIO2 connector on the backplane.
 Connect the miniSAS connector of the K410-240(00) to the connectors for ports 0 to 3 on the optional
RAID controller.
 Connect the miniSAS connector of the K410-204(00) to the connectors for ports 4 to 7 on the optional
RAID controller.
