Connecting cables

To use an on-board RAID controller or optional RAID controller, connect the interface cable. See the figures
below for how to connect cables.
Important
Both SAS hard disk drives and SATA hard disk drives cannot be installed.
Tips
When using SAS hard disk drives, install a RAID controller to the server.
Using the on-board RAID controller for a 3.5-inch drive model
Prepare the optional SAS/SATA cable K410-288(00).
Connect the P0 to P3 connectors of the K410-288(00) to the SATA0 to SATA3 connectors on the
backplane, respectively.
While matching the pin 1 (indicated by the triangle) of the S1 and the pin 1 (indicated by the bold line) of
the SGPIO1, connect the S1 connector of the K410-288(00) to the SGPIO1 connector on the backplane.
Connect the miniSAS connector of the K410-288(00) to the MINISAS_1 connector on the motherboard.
